Former England forward Trevor Francis has died at the age of 69. Francis was the first player to be transferred in Britain for £1m and the scorer of a European Cup-winning goal for Nottingham Forest. He had an illustrious career playing for clubs like Manchester City, Sampdoria, Atalanta, and Rangers. He represented England 52 times, including in the 1982 World Cup. After retiring as a player, he ventured into management, leading clubs like QPR, Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham, and Crystal Palace. In a statement, his family confirmed that he had died of a heart attack in his apartment in Spain. "On behalf of the family, this has come as a huge shock to everybody. We are all very upset.
