Cristiano Ronaldo scored a last-minute winner on the night he became the first men’s player to win 200 international caps. Ronaldo scored in the 89th minute to secure Portugal a 1-0 victory over Iceland in their Euro 2024 qualifying game. The 38-year-old turned home Goncalo Inacio's header from close range. The goal was initially ruled out for an Inacio offside but was awarded by the VAR. It was also Ronaldo’s 123rd international goal, further extending his world record. After the game, Ronaldo admitted that Portugal did not play their best football during the match. "We didn't play so well but sometimes football is like that but we scored a goal and, in my opinion, we deserved it. I'm so happy because of 200 caps, but this is even more special," said Ronaldo. Portugal now have four wins in four games in their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.
