Lionel Messi has been dubbed the greatest player of all time after he led Argentina to the World Cup final in sensational style. The 35-year-old seven-time Ballon d'Or winner scored a penalty and set up Julian Alvarez for another in a 3-0 win. And fans, pundits and former players hailed the performance as the one that ends the Ronaldo vs Messi debate. Messi rolled back the years and dazzled onlookers when he twisted Josko Gvardiol inside out before assisting Alvarez. For many Gvardiol had been one of the defenders of the tournament, but many joked Messi has just halved his market value. Messi's former teammate Luis Suarez hailed the Argentine for never getting tired of showing why he is the best in the world. "You never get tired of proving you are the best in the world. The whole world stops to applaud this guy and what he's given to football. Incredible my friend," said Suarez
