Speaking with People, John Stamos recalled turning to alcohol after being charged with a DUI in Beverly Hills in 2015. "When I did get the DUI... I sat down and I drank a bottle of wine just to forget what just happened. And I never sobered up", shared Stamos. He explained that he was “disappointed” in himself and soon after flew to Canada to film 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.' While filming, he drank to avoid the consequences of his drinking problem and said, “When you sober up, you have to look at the ugly truth…” The 'Full House' star believes that it was this avoidance that urged him to “keep drinking” and found himself “loosely buzzed” on set. Appearing recently on Mayim Bialik’s podcast, Stamos admitted that he doesn’t remember filming the movie as he was “so liquored up.” Additionally, in his memoir, Stamos stated that his DUI along with his behavior was his lowest point.
