Vondroušová Hires Cat Sitter After Earning Wimbledon Final Spot

Markéta Vondroušová has booked a cat sitter for her Sphynx cat Frankie after reaching her first Wimbledon final. The unusual priority allows the unseeded player’s husband and sister to attend the final. She is the first unseeded woman in the Open Era to reach the Wimbledon final without previously progressing beyond the second round. Vondroušová defeated Elina Svitolina in straight sets in the semifinals, surprising herself with her performance on grass. Vondroušová, an Olympic silver medalist, missed a lot of 2022 as she underwent surgery on her left wrist. The tennis star, who is ranked No. 42, has had a tough journey to the final, including defeating fourth-seeded Jessica Pegula. Vondroušová revealed that she has a bet with her coach and if she wins Wimbledon he’s supposedly going to get a tattoo. The Czech player is set to take on Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur in the final.
