The Chatuchak Weekend Market is open on weekends from 9 AM to 8 PM, though store hours for each vendor vary. Chatuchak Weekend Market, also known as JJ Market, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bangkok, Thailand. It is the world's largest weekend market, with over 15,000 stalls selling everything from clothes and souvenirs to food and plants. The market was founded in 1942 by Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram, the third Prime Minister of Thailand. The market was originally located in Sanam Luang, a large public square in the heart of Bangkok. However, in 1982, the market was moved to its current location in Chatuchak Park, a large green space in the northern part of the city.
