An 18-year-old wildlife photographer has captured a series of stunning images of wild animals at sunset in Africa. Born and raised in Kenya, Dhir Jakharia only began taking photographs when he was 16-years-old. Soon realising he was fortunate enough to have national parks on his doorstep, Jakharia began spending time photographing animals such as zebras, giraffes and leopards in their natural habitat. "I usually tell people I have wildlife in my backyard!" says Jakharia. Not surprisingly, his photos have received praise from fellow Kenyans and other internet users across the globe, with one admirer asking how he's able to produce such great work at his tender age. Jakharia noted that Kenya, just like many African countries, had been stereotyped as a hub of poverty and low standards of living. "Africa is usually seen as a hub of poverty and diseases. Due to this, its beauty is often overlooked."Therefore, I try to show the world that my continent has so much more to offer, it’s simply filled with beauty."
